“Gurpreet Singh is a dedicated research scholar with profound background in medical biochemistry. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc. Medical Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry from Government Medical College, Amritsar, in 2017, followed by a Master’s degree in M.Sc. Medical Biochemistry from Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot, affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, after submitting his thesis titled “The Role of Inhibitors in Ascertaining the Type of Isoenzyme Type of Alkaline Phosphatase and Its Clinical Correlations” in 2019. His professional journey includes as a Demonstrator/Tutor in the Department of Biochemistry at Pt. B.D. Sharma Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak from January 2020 to March 2024. Throughout his tenure, Gurpreet effectively managed and supervised the clinical diagnostic laboratory, delivered insightful biochemistry theory lectures, and conducted practical sessions for medical and paramedical students in the Department of Biochemistry. Notably, in June 2023, he achieved recognition with an AIR 75 for being awarded a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), highlighting his academic and research acumen. Gurpreet embarked on his Ph.D. journey in March 2024, joining the Gall Bladder Cancer group in our lab. With a fervent passion for scientific exploration and a steadfast commitment to advancing medical knowledge, Gurpreet Singh is poised to make significant contributions to the field of cancer research.
In addition to his academic pursuits, he enjoys hobbies such as singing, music, history, and farming.”
