Ms. Anamta Gul is a first-year PhD scholar at AIIMS, under the mentorship of Dr. Subhradip Karmakar. Her research focuses on investigating the impact of urban air pollution on pregnancy outcomes and fetal development, utilizing mouse models.

Anamta completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Biochemistry from Jamia Hamdard. For her Masters’ dissertation, she worked at CSIR-IGIB under the guidance of Dr. Vamsi Yenamandra, where she developed a screening assay to identify mutations responsible for autosomal recessive congenital ichthyosis, a rare genetic skin disorder.
